Lunar New Year Couplets

Lunar New Year Couplets

Lunar New Year Couplets

For the Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year, people place couplets on both sides of their doors, as well as in the middle of the doors. The couplets are supposed to represent different things, like wishing for luck, fortune, happiness or health. PolyU's Chinese center offered a course which taught us how to make them, so we all wrote our own couplets. It was a really exciting activity, and I'm glad the university offered so many cultural activities.
