The university offered an event for non-local students which involved taking a coach to Tuen Mun in the New Territories. It was a Hong Kong style bbq at a place called Seaside BBQ. There was unlimited food and multiple drinks offered to us. I was able to cook some of the food myself. We were right beside the beach, too, so I was able to watch the sun set. It was a really interesting experience, as it was not only the first time I saw the sun set over the ocean in HK, but also the first time I've ever seen the sun disappear into what seemed to be thin air. Rather than dipping below the horizon or being blocked by clouds, it seemed to just slowly disappear within the sky, which I really enjoyed watching. After sunset we continued cooking some more food, and then roasted marshmallows before returning to the dorms.
