On my way back to Honolulu after the semester I was fortunate enough to be able to travel and visit some other countries, with the first one being Thailand, and I stayed in Bangkok. On my first full day in Bangkok, I took the BTS Skytrain and met with my friend from the city as well as one of her friends from university. We went to a delicious local restaurant where I was able to try many Thai foods for the first time. We then went to Chatuchak Weekend Market, which is the largest in Thailand and one of the largest in the world. With my friend's help, I was able to bargain and get some really nice souvenirs. I then walked to Asiatique The Riverfront to explore the stores and areas there and to take a night cruise along the Chao Phraya River, which is the most important river in Thailand. Included in the cruise was an all you can eat buffet with a range of diverse dishes, as well as entertainment from local performers.
