I went with some of my friends to a fairly unknown island in the South of HK called Po Toi. It was very tranquil, especially compared to the constant bustle of the city. After arriving, we headed to Tin Hau Temple Conch Rock, which is a famous rock for looking like a conch shell. After spending some time there we went to a restaurant called Yiu Kee Food, where I got the Yiu Kee fried rice. We then decided to head to Mo's Old Mansion, a famous abandoned--and supposedly haunted--mansion along one of the trails. Just a short walk past the ruins of the mansion is a rock known as Coffin Rock, an ominous rock since it looks like a coffin. This photo is across from the rock, looking out at the view below. Afterwards we went back down the train and then continued past the ancient rock carving, which are from an estimated 3,000 years ago. After seeing the rock carvings we continued on the trail before splitting up. Two of my friends went to the beach, while my other friend and I continued on to see Turtle Rock (also known as Tortoise Rock). I really liked this rock, and we were also able to see Monk Rock and the lighthouse on our way. We then headed back to join our friends at the beach, before finally returning to the pier to catch the last ferry home.
